Galina Didur (Gala) was born in Kharkov, Ukraine. She attended the College of Arts in Kharkov from 1978-1982. She continued her studies at the Kharkov Art Academy, choosing Monumental Decorative Painting as a major. In 1994 she immigrated to Israel, were she worked in interior design and participated in many exhibitions. Gala is a contemporary artist who successfully combines the achievements of Picasso and Modigliani with plastics, dynamics and contemporary art technologies. Flickering lights, deep shadows and rectilinear sharp contrast with deep colors are used to depict her viewing of the modern art. Gala participated in Florence Biennale 2009.
